Room Leader

We are seeking to appoint a Room Leader for our Under 2's room. You will hold the role of a key person to a group of children, while overseeing and driving the curriculum for our under 2's with the help of your team. Working with our parents and nursery management team to ensure high quality care and learning takes place through the delivery of engaging activities. - Early Years Qualification Required. - Under 2's Nursery Experience required - Ideal for a practitioner looking for the next step in the career.

The role of the Room Leader is to ensure all children attending our nurseries receive high quality care, are kept safe and are provided with planned and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs and support all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. In addition to childcare duties, the Room Leader is responsible for the day to day management of the room in terms of ensuring the nursery’s operational objectives are met. The Room Leader will be responsible for staff working within that room, in accordance with the requirements, set by OFSTED and nursery Policies and Procedures.

Early Years Teacher

As an EYT, you'll work to inspire, excite, and nurture children through a crucial stage of their development. Your aim is to motivate children and use resources imaginatively to help them learn. You'll provide a safe and secure environment for them to develop their social and communication skills, while recording observations and summarising their achievements.

You should be focused on the development of the child to prepare them for a successful transition to primary school. It's important that the activities you plan and carry out meet the requirements of the early years foundation stage (EYFS) in England.

Typical responsibilities of the job include:
- developing and implementing lessons and work schemes, using the Early Years Foundation Stage as a framework - providing a safe and stimulating environment that facilitates learning organising and supervising play and work activities (for example reading, cooking, music, dancing etc) - liaising with parents, carers and professionals such as speech therapists and health visitors - maintaining records - monitoring and recording progress Early years teaching calls for enthusiastic, imaginative and energetic individuals, capable of helping children reach their full potential. Level 2 & 3 Practitioners

We are currently recruiting passionate Nursery Early Years Practitioners and aspiring Nursery Room Leaders.

Tasks and responsibilities:
Consistently plan and deliver challenging and exciting learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all children to develop and meets their individual needs. Make accurate and effective assessments, which reflect the needs, interests, and stages of development of the child by supporting the delivery of the key person approach. Ensuring an enabling environment is providing consistent stimulating and inspiring activities for the children in both the indoor and outdoor area as a continuous provision. Ensure that British Values are incorporated and demonstrated through Early Years Foundation Stage learning and play. Safeguard and promote the health, safety, and welfare of children in line with our child protection and keeping everyone safe policies and procedures. Ensure internal policies and procedures are adhered whilst also meeting the external legislation and guidelines from our governing bodies. Promote and follow guidelines implemented for managing behaviour including supporting children to manage their own feelings and behaviours. Continually work in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of the children ensuring a diverse and inclusive approach is always maintained.
